๐ธ: This was a really good dinner. I replaced asparagus for the traditional green beans, it was even better the next day over greens, all chopped up ๐ .
What I am into right now, to put it simply, my feet & food.
Not really a foot fetish thing, more like focused treatment for my feet. I have a bunion on my outer right big toe, and I am pretty sure its is linked to the recent pain I have in my hip and knee.
Bunions, arthritis, achey joints and the like are very common ailments (especially for women in their very late 40โs). I imagine there are plenty of people out there dealing with the same type of pain. Which is why I decided to write about this topic.
I am getting tons of amazing help from my doctors, pt, acupuncturist, and more, and while it is a lot to take in, I am running a few different experiments. I am taking the next few months to see if wearing the right shoes and weird toe spreaders and toe socks cause me to feel better. Will I have less pain or will it make any difference at all?
We are trying to focus on eating an anti-inflammatory diet, just one of the many suggestions I have received to help manage my pain. These are my recipe boards right now – I have found some really good recipes. And I am journaling about how my body feels day by day, based on what I am eating, wearing or what I am doing.
There is a lot of information out there and itโs hard to digest it all and turn all the right things into a daily practice. I plan on taking small bites along the way and just see how it goes. And remind myself I am doing my best.
I am curious if others out there are dealing with this type of pain.
If you are, what works and what doesnโt?
