Finding Flow to Grow … What gets you in the flow?

This Wednesday we are talking about growth. As mentioned a couple weeks ago, my plan is to focus on a different theme for the blog each week, starting with travel, last week was yoga and this week is growth. My question for you and that I asked myself was; “What will help me grow?” These days I find myself looking for ways to grow that will help me live in a way that makes me feel full and sastified, maybe that doesn’t happen every day but every so often.

What I have found is that when I can carve out a few moments in my day to find a tiny bit of of flow or the opportunity to lose track of time, I feel a bit more like myself and this helps me grow towards my truest self. Sometimes, I get stuck and bored and just end up scrolling on my phone or taking up other bad habits, but if I am mindful and focused I might work on a knitting project, bake some cookies, if the weather is decent I will often get outside and dig in the dirt – planting veggies or flowers, or even just weeding and watering, doing yoga with no goal or focus can also help me get into a state of flow. Hiking and being in nature always gets me totally in my body and into the flow as well. I have goals to do more art or focus on some deep cleaning or home projects, all these focused tasks can get me into that flow. The idea is to be fully present and aware of what I am doing in each moment. My goal is to find more ways each day to drop in and find that flow.

I would love to hear from you, what gets you into the flow and helps you grow?

This is a site about me and for me. A place to put my thoughts down, and to express what I am thinking. Sometimes serious, sometimes fun, sometimes just trying to get a message out. Just a place for my voice or thoughts to be heard, even if just for myself.
